  1. if you move to wilmington you wont be able to surf everyday, more than in canada but not everyday. its pretty flat in the summer unless a low comes screaming across to kick somethng up.

  2. You will surely add lots of winter days, but there will also be summer days where its even to flat to longboard. However, on the whole, I bet you will have five times as many sessions there than you do in Canada. I would check Wilmington on line, just to satisfy your curiosity about its temperature range. There is, of course, no measure of average number of ride-able surf days/year.

  3. Hah. Hah, hahah. I just can't help laughing. Moving to the east coast so you can surf every day. Don't get me wrong, I love it here, its just hardly so consistent. If you want consistency, go to california. The winter is the best, usually november to february. Then again, we also wear (at least in the north east) 5/4 or 6/4 fullsuits with booties and gloves. You will hardly be able to surf every day. North carolina is better than some other places though, and when the east coast goes off, it really fires.

youre best bet to convince them might be pictures. america is beautiful, and honestly, canada is covered in snow all the time (just kidding, ive never actually been there). but if they like to fish, theres awesome fishing. you're not too too far from two major cities, ny and orlando. and the easterns are probably the most fun contests ever, well, besides world tours, cause they have more beer.

  4. i don't know for sure, because i'm not on the east coast.. but i live right next door to Surf City USA (Huntington Beach, CA) and if you wanna surf everyday.. HB is where to go. surfers go out at 4-5am everyday and from the pier you can see hundreds of surfers... riding the waves every morning.. and during the daytime it's still solid. every year HB is the site for the ESPN U.S. Open since 1982... maybe your dad can get job opps out here instead? It's winter like 3 months of the year.. and even that winter is 60 degrees. haha.. we're freezing at that temperature as it is!
