i'm 16, and i've never played a sport before. my parents never pushed me to play one, and so i just ended up never playing one. but i regret it, and really wish i had. is it too late to take up a sport? and how do i go about doing this? the sports that i'm interested in are skiing (which i've done once), snowboarding, and volleyball.

thanks!

  1. Try volleyball or tennis.

I like both... i prefer tennis. Once you get the hang of the strokes and stuff it's pretty easy and fun to play with friends. Usually they have classes for different age groups.

You could get a volleyball net at a store (if your backyard is big enough) and play with friends or something, and you could try out for a school team (if they have it). It's a pretty easy sport to learn, mostly it's getting the hang of bumping the ball with your forearms.

    Well i hope that helped!

  2. I think you will have a better chance at playing volleyball. If you try out for your school they will teach you how to play the sport. No experience needed. All they look for is potential and how quick you pick up things. Good luck.

  3. its not too late to start lots of people take up sports at this age, you should take a sport that you enjoy, try out different stuff and see what you like, then try to find a club for this sport in your local area and join, sometimes this is hard to do because everyone there is more experienced  but just practice hard and don't give up, good luck with it

  4. since your 16 you should start thinking about collage and if you could do something to get a scholarship. i would do rowing like crew with large boats that you race and its a very easy scholarship so you could just try out for the school team and they will teach you or do it through a club. have fun!

  5. i would do volley ball just because you are reallying on the weather to practice volleyball you can play year round hope i helped!

  6. try cross country

  7. I dont think its too late but if you do start you might be a little behind to start out i would just try to find like a YMCA league or somthing like that and once you get used to the feel of the sport and you keep practicing you could get really good. i play a ton of sports and i am not trying to brag but im the best player on my basketball and volleyball team and i am one of the best on my soccer team, i think its really never to late to start a sport i would suggest trying out a sport that your talents would match or that you have seen being played before and go outside or o a gym and see if you can get the fundementals down.

    Good Luck!!!! :)
