I really want to start cycling...should/can I?

Well, the question is a little wierd since it all depends on me, but I am 18 and havent riden one in 5 years. How much should I spend to get started and how much time should I train???

  1. You may want to look at Forge bikes they run from $200 to around $350 are are a very good value for the money.  They are only available through Target mail order and you have to put it together and make the adjustments yourself or have a bike shop do it for you.

  3. Yes, it does depend on you. You didn't mention your goals nor what type of riding your interested in.

    As far as costs, it sounds like you want more than a bike to tool around the 'hood. A reasonable starter bike could cost between $300 to $1000 new or less if used. Again without your goals or type of cycling, it's hard to say.

    Training time? For what purpose? Basic cardio work out would be 45 minutes 3-5 times a week at a good pace. If you have something else in mind this is a good starting goal on your way to more intense work out routine.
