  1. If you have ever gone on a cruise then use your knowledge of what you saw to make your plans.  Remember that on a cruise staff work hard.

That being said I agree with the preceding answer in that you need to improve your English if you want to be able to work in various regions.  You also need to look for reputable placement agencies, some of which you may be able to locate on a cruise lines website.  Be aware that there are many agencies that claim to find you cruise ship jobs but only a few that actually are accredited by the individual cruise lines.

I would start by checking the actual cruise line website for links relating to jobs.  I know that Carnival has one however I am not sure about other lines.  Just be aware that there is a lot of fraud relating to finding jobs in the cruise ship industry.

  2. First of all learn english if you want to work on anything than exclusive Japaneese cruise lines. If you learn english your Japaneese knowledge is asked for since many tourists came from that country. But English is standard launguage in the cruise industry and a minimum requirement.

Then youll have to learn a proffesion that is asked for (if you dont have it already). It could be sailor, chief, steward or a number of other profession.

Then you start to contact cruise lines and the companys theyre recruting from. Use the internet to find out and email to ask questions. Also seek out the contact us area in the cls web pages. Good luck!

  3. sorry, but the ships these days pay VERY little to their employees, and i havent heard of a ship that gives haircuts or hires hairstylist, but good luck finding a job that you want!

  4. You need to contact the cruise lines directly. On their web sites you will find a link to jobs, employment, human resources or some such link that will give you information about their positions. Some sites even have current vacancies they are recruiting for. Several cruise lines have new ships coming out soon so opportunities will be there. Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Disney and some others will have new ships launched in the next couple years.
