  1. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.

    thats all i can say.

    listen to your coach.

do drills. (pay attention to your form) and think about them, dont just goof off.

if your an underclassmen... talk to the older girls.. they will be more than welcome to help you im sure.

dont be intinimated by a girl thats "better" than you, you and just as good as any one else... just in a differnt way.

PRACTICE. get a old ball from your gym, and bring it home and just work on the basics, dont do nothing fancy right now.

    BUMP, SET, SPIKE, ---- SERVE.

Work on your body they way your moving it. (FORM)

Make sure you use the palm of your hand when spiking and/or hitting.

    Dont get mad. Work harder.

I know its hard and frusterating.. but stick with it...

Come to practice everyday with a smiling face (evan when you wanna cry) and stick it out and work harder than you know.  the coaches like that.

Good Luck. [[: Keep practicing as hard as you can.

Get with friends to when ever you can. They will help to..

remember just work on the basics. nothing fancy.

*remember to have fun smile. volleyball is still fun... even on the bench. trust me, everyone has been there.

    * GO VOLLEYBALL!

  2. this is probably the best tip u gonna get and the most underrated one as well...make sure u have two properly working hands..and two good sighted eyes...glasses or contacts would be accepted but it would hurt like effin h**l when they are broken....

  3. Best thing is to be directly under the ball. Try having a person toss the ball up to you. This way you can judge where the ball will land on your forearms. Gradually move back and have the person throw it up higher and farther. The way you move your feet is also extremely important to get you in good position so have your friend throw it a few feet to the left and right as well.

I see this too many times but try not to swing too hard when you "bump" the ball. Remember that in Volleyball, the "bump" is mainly used to pass the ball to the setter and not to get it over the net. Practice how hard you will swing your arms to get the ball to a certain height and distance. Most serves that come over the net are relatively fast so most of the time, you don't really need to move your arms at all as the force of the ball hitting your forearms will be enough to get the ball to bounce back to the setter.

After you mastered that art of "bumping", you can work on location. This means you can work on passing the ball to different locations.

If you are by yourself, work on "bumping" the ball straight up and see how many you can do in a row without letting the ball hit the ground. Work on "bumping" it straight up. I hope this helps.

  4. use you knees when digging for the ball dont swing you arms all around and when you volley the ball make such your tall and use the power coming from ur legs also move to were the ball is coming stop then play the ball

    hope this will help
