I really would like to be an actress!?

Question

I love acting . I was just wondering if theres any websites that could get me started in any movies or plays ? I don't care if I'm famous or not . I just love acting, and I'm 100% sure that it's what I want to do with my life . So help with websites... or anything ?

Just try auditioning for plays locally. I don't know of any websites that offer acting jobs on the spot.

Well, sorry to say, websites won't help much.  There are a few you can use to post headshot & resume for exposure, but they don't really get you any jobs.  http://www.actorsaccess.com, http://www.nowcasting.com, http://www.exploretalent.com, http://www.starsearchcasting.com, & http://www.therightcast.com all post auditions and let you create an online account.  Other than that, I'd start out by taking classes and auditioning at a local theatre.  Your film commission or newspaper may also list auditions.  You may also want to have a talent agent later on; search "talent agents in (your nearest city, state) for more.  They are very helpful with getting you paid work, and essential to movie/commercial actors.  Remember to research and read books like "Act Now" by Peter Jazwinski.  Good luck with your career!

If your in New York or California and are over the age of 18 (or 13 with your parents permission) you can sign up with a company called Central Casting. Once you do you can work as a Background Extra for films and television. You can work toward getting your SAG card (screen actors guild)....and once you have that you can start auditioning for roles. While working there are always opportunities to land speaking roles as a non-union actor as well, but joining the union will allow you to go to certain type of casting calls. Best of luck, you have not chosen an easy field.

all real agents are free.

and only get 10-20 % of the money you make doin commercials etc.

if some1 says you ahve to pay them for them to be your agent they their a scam!

and you need to bget experience cause it will look great on your resume example:

acting classes

singing classes

plays(major roles wouild look great)
