ON JUNE 20TH I RECIEVED A CHECK IN THE AMOUNT OF LIKE $4,820.00 IN THE MAIL IN MY MOM'S HOUSE IT STATED FOR ME TO CALL AND THEY'LL INSTRUCT ME WHAT TO DO. I CALLED AND THEY STATE IT WAS A $4 MILLION DOLLAR LOTTERY IN WHERE 32 PEOPLE WERE WON AND I WAS ONE OF THEM. SUPPOSEOFLY FOR SHOPPING AT STORES LIKE WALMART, 7ELEVEN, JC PENNY, ETC. ANYWAYS I AM SUPPOSE TO DEPOSIT THE CHECK AND THEN SEND THIS LADY IN CANADA WHO'S A TAX AGENT A CHECK OF $2,400.00 TO COVER FOR TAXES AND PROCESSING AND ONCE THAT GOES THROUGH THEY'LL SEND ME A CHECK FOR $125,000.00 THROUGH UPS.

  1. It is a scam, the check is no good and if you send the tax agent your check for $2400 they will cash it and be gone. And you will be out the $2400.  If it sounds too good to be true, then it's not.

  2. It's a scam!  No legitimate lottery works this way!

They sure in the heck wouldn't send you a check for taxes, that comes directly out of your prize.

If you cash the check and send it to them, you'll never get your "prize" and the $4,820 will have to be paid back to the bank.  You lose and they get $4,820 free and clear!

Any lottery that finds their way to your mailbox or inbox is a scam.

  3. It's a scam.  Don't cash it. Give it to the post office or the police or throw it away. You DID NOT WIN ANYTHING.

  4. It is a very common scam.  Don't send them anything.  Take the letter to the post office and report them.

  5. This is a scam.  Do what they say, and when the check you got bounces, and it will, you'll be out the $2400 that you sent.

  6. SCAM.

The check you received is FAKE.  It probably looks perfectly fine but it is fake.  It will bounce but only after you send the $2400 out leaving you on the hook for the money.

  7. It's a SCAM!  Turn the check and the envelope that it came in over to the police.  If you deposit the check and send $2,400 to someone it will bounce in a couple of weeks and YOU will have to cover it.  Of course, with the $2,400 in the hands of the scam artist, you'll have to cover that out of your pocket.

  8. Rip it up then burn it up - it is a scam.

  9. SCAM!

    Canada doesn't take lotteries.

The IRS doesn't take Western Union.
