I received a citation for speeding 16 over. Do you think it is worth my wild to go to court to get it reduced

(61-45) In Georgia it is 14 and under dosn't go on your record for insurance purposes. I just need it reduced two points.

  1. The way I look at it -if you did it-you are guilty. Why waste everybodies time and money dragging it all out? Face the music, take whatever they give you, and get it over with.


  2. It all depends on how much your time is worth.  If loosing a days pay to go to court is less than the amount of the fine, then maybe yes. If you earn more than the fine, then it doesn't make sense to give up work for the day.

    If Georga allows traffic offenders to attend some type of "Traffic School" I would request that, and the violation will never show up on your driving record.
