Yes, it's real.  I claimed a cheque for £1m from that address three weeks ago.  Unfortunately I can't prove it because just after I received the cheque, i was on my way to bank it when a 7 foot rabbit wearing purple training shoes attacked me in the street, stole the cheque and ate it, but still.....

  6. It is TOTALLY fake. Report it immediately to the police, they have a Fraud Squad who deals with this type of scam. By reporting it you may save someone from falling prey to it.
