Your name begins with "C" Chris or Cathy, I cant quite make it out. Your father had problems with his chest or abdomen area.

I see a woman about your age. He is telling me that you are generally a happy go lucky person, but are having problems with this one woman in your life.

He wants to help you.

If this description sounds like you, then reply.

(this is a demonstration of how psychics can reach people in a large audience. I am a total fake psychic.)

This is a technique called Shot-gunning. It is a technique used by cold reading psychics to reach one person in a group. Someone is likely to read this and think it relates to them, although it could be interpeted for many situations.

If you would like to reply with some comments are other cool cold reading techniques, please do.

  1. This just illustrates that "psychics" "work" because so many people have similar life experiences.

Its sad that these shams exploit the pain and heartbreak of others to get recognition or money.

If you do this. Stop. You are just manipulating the emotions of poor, hurting people for your own amusement.

  2. You will never get a response if you declare yourself as a fake right up front.  The next time you do this, or something like it, you have to maintain the deception.  People will respond to such prompts if they believe there is something magical going on.

As a skeptic and one who probably values truth more that any "psychic" ever did, you will find it uncomfortable to mislead innocent, though gullible people.  I have tried something like this before and had to quit before I was done because of my conscience.  Even though the experiment was for good reasons and would eventually help my "victim," I couldn't keep it up.

  3. I see someone who is really bored with a lot of time on their hands....sound like anyone you know?

  4. Although I have see this type of thing before so many times and have even seen books for sell stating how to become a physic which I think is a bit much, and although I have never met anyone who had such a gift I would not close my mind to the possibilities (even if it seems impossible).

However every person I see who does this does it for a profit and i truly believe if anyone ever did or even does have a gift profit is something they would never need.

Keeping in mind I never met anyone with such a gift, I would think along with any gift that places one over the masses would be so focused in life that they would not have a need to exploit themselves.

I am surprised how many people will pay for a reading.

  5. ...Well, I had a great aunt named Kitty, and my father had lung cancer, and I am generally happy but there is a woman whom I'd like to be erased from the map of my life because is interfering with my relationship...

Yes! You received a message for meee!!!!

I know what you mean. I have a cousin who is a very famous clairvoyant, astrologist and tarot reader in my country, and I can tell for sure that, besides some rare specific moments when she really says (and predicts) amazing things, most of the times it works in generic statements that could fit anyone. Those who want to believe, will hear what they want to hear.

  6. As a side note, this same technique is used and abused by the healing preachers. Heck, even Pat Robertson does this on his show (or at least used to, I haven't seen it in a while). He'll get a "word of knowledge" from God and be vague about a name and vague about a medical condition, and wouldn't you know it, a couple weeks later Pat is reading a letter from a viewer who thought God was talking about him and thinks he was healed.

  7. I wonder what psychic Bush used in this Iraq war? Someone is making a ton of money anyway, but that's a given. I wonder if you could hypnotize someone to tell you everything and than make them forget they ever told you. Would they think that you're a psychic? No doubt there are many ways of pulling these things off. But who is hypnotizing us to believe we see any UFOs or have abductions? I guess we're all delusional and naive to some degree.
