  1. If you got a letter very recently, telling you the amount you'd get, then you will unless you owe back taxes, back child support or defaulted student loans, then it would be taken and applied to what you owe.

    If you are talking about the letter that went out in March, read it again - it did NOT say you were getting a rebate, it said "you may be entitled to a payment..." which does not say that you ARE


  2. the IRS is taking their time sending them out. they made quite a few mistakes and sent two checks to one person, while millions of others are still waiting (myself included) but if you received the notification that youll be receiving one, they didnt make a mistake... unfortunately youll just have to wait for it.

  3. No the rebates are backed up and are taking a little longer than expected and they did request that people do not call and ask where their money is.

  4. Hard to say. You don't say when you received the notice or when they said you would receive the rebate by.

  5. If the notice says it is being paid into your bank account it should be there within 7 to 10 days.

  6. Only the IRS can tell you for certain.
