  1. NO -- that is definitely a SCAM.

They will ask you to cough up a certain amount, and then you won't hear anything from them again and you will still not get any grant

You may also want to read the warnings FTC has issued against these "grant" companies:

    http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2004/03/grantreso...

    http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer...

Here is also one of the warnings issued by the Better Business Bureau http://www.concord.bbb.org/tips_timeshar...

  2. It is legit up to the point where they ask you to pay them a little up front to "cover their costs" of getting you the grant. Once you pay, you will never hear from them or see your "grant".

Check it out anyhow and let me know what happens.

  3. Depends on the text on the postcard.  Make sure and read all the fine print.

I seriously doubt they can guarantee you $25K in grant money, though.

  4. What do you think?  Why would someone send out a million post cards giving away $25,000 to strangers.

At some point they will ask you for your social security number and/or bank information.

You will deeply regret giving these people any information.

  5. Do not weste your time behind this.

    - It is not real.
