I received a "Pregnant" using E.P.T. & a very faint second line w/ First Response, which is more accurate?

I tested yesterday with E.P.T Certainty, after a minute it read "pregnant" and later that night with First Response, there was a very faint second line (barely there), which shocked me because i thought First Response was the more accurate one and easier detectable one? Could it be a false positive? Which is more accurate?

A faint line is a positive! Both tests have indicated you are pregnant, and I would wager that both tests are accurate.

A faint line is still a positive. Give it a few days and try another test.

Any line is positive, faint or not. If it's there, your pregnant! i learned this the hard way too kind of. My friends kept saying oh dont worry about it, it could be reading wrong. Buy another one and take it in the morning and it comes up a lot clearer! thats what i did

It was probably faint because tests recommend that you use the test with the first urine of the day. Both read positive! SO CONGRATS!

With both my pregnancies I took the EPT Pregnant/not pregnant tests and they both came back pregnant and i was. And even though your second test the line was very faint that is still a positive. That happened to my mother with my little sister!

Um, both tests said positive! A faint line means yes! So both of them are accurate.....

False positives are VERY rare..and two of them would be even more rare.

first response is more sensitive but a line faint or not is a positive! congrats!

If a line is there, then the test worked. Per the instructions in that test and other pee on a stick tests, as long as the line is there - faint or not - then it is a positive result.

a pregnant by one, faint line with other ...means your pregnant ..congratulations.

false positives rarely, if ever, happen. SO...congratulations you're pregnant!

Each brand has a different level of sensitivity before it gives a positive.  I would go with the 1st test and say yes you are pregnant.  The 2nd test probably needed more hormone to get a very positive test.  I had a faint positive with my 1st pregnancy, so yes it can happen.  More than likely you are probably 4-5  weeks pregnant.

Congratulations you are pregnant!!! I think that the digital ones are pretty accurate. I had the same thing that happened to me. I used an EPT digital on the day I was suppose to get my period and I used an EPT regular stick test and the digital said pregnant right away. And the stick had a faint positive, but it was defiantely there. They say that no matter how faint the line is, that it is still a positive as long as it came up in the time period of ten minutes. I know that brands like Ept and first response are suppose to be able to test the hcg hormone as low as 25mil. So, they are really good brands to use.. I retested in a few days just to see if it still said I was pregnant with a regular stick test by ept, and the line was much darker because I was producing more hormones. The further along you are the darker the line usually gets. Im 16wks pregnant on monday. SO, congratulations on the little one. Now you can make your first prenatal visit and they will confirm your pregnancy and give you lots of information.

No matter how faint the positive, a positive is a positive. Maybe it was because you used the first response at night, perhaps your urine was diluted. Either way, positive is positive. Good Luck

A faint line is still a positive line, one is probably just more sensitive then the other.

i used first response too and only had faint 2nd line too, but i was pregnant, it must be the way they make the test or the hormone is still minimal.

My second line was barely there also..I was shocked! So if one says your 'pregnant' and the other one has 2 lines (even if one is faint).....CONGRATS!!! Your gonna be a mommy!

If I were you I would go read on http://www.peeonastick.com for lots of experimentation with different tests and faint second lines.

You are most likely pregnant is my guess.
