  1. Yahoo hever asks that, let alone thru a popup. Go directly to Yahoo Help / Contact  http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/directo... and tell them about that, some screenshots with the popup will be appreciated.

  2. No legit companies ask for personal information on the internet,  unless you have logged into a company to buy something.  They then use their secure system to obtain credit card info etc.  Howver,  you do not provide personal info on the net to anyone who contacts you asking for it.  It is a scam.  Probably a "mirror" site in this case.

  3. NEVER send personal info unless you're 110% sure who it's to. And I'd never send anything real to yahoo anyway.

  4. Yahoo will never ask for your personal info, as they already have it :P

and remember...anyone can make a yahoo email account, so the return address being from yahoo doesn't mean anything.

  5. it seems like a scam

  6. Go to http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/abuse/a... or forward the email to phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com.  Failure to do this immediately only assists them in getting away with it.
