It has the Yahoo Logo @ the top and states it's from the UK & Ireland. Is it for real?? I have it saved if anyone could look @ it for me and tell me if whether or not it's real.

Thanks-a-bunch,

Char

  1. yes its a scam....

  2. Delete the message.  It is a scam.

First of all, Yahoo does not run promotions where people are awarded money.  Secondly, there are scams out of Europe and Africa that operate the same way.  They say you have won money (or it is a job offer).  All you need to do is supply them with your bank acct. info so they could wire you the money - so they say but in reality, they can wipe out your account or you are sent money orders to cash which end up being phony but by that time, you have cashed it and most likely spent it and you are left owing your banking institution money.

If it seems to good to be true, it is!  Believe me, if you were being awarded something, you would at least be called on the phone or sent something in writing.  And by the way, scammers have the ability to copy logos and make scams seem like they are coming from legitimate sources.

I hope this helps you.  If I were you, I would not only delete it but I would add that address to your list of blocked addresses.
