I received the unfair claim from ICBC?

I have a very small accident when I did para parking. I scratch somebody's car. It was a very light scratch, if you don't pay attention, you can't even seen this. Futhermore, I can't find scratch on the back of my car (it has scratches, but not from this). Then the other party made the claim.

(9 months passed) Today I receive a letter from ICBC that I have to pay $1700 for the second party's car reparation. I was in a shock, and phoned ICBC. ICBC said that the second party changed the everything in front. I have to pay all of the second party's change.

So I made an appointment to examine my car in ICBC because I don't think that's all my fault.

Is that fair that I have to pay all? How about if the second party had some other accident and claim on me? Will the examination go against me? You know I am so nervous to pay that big amount.

  1. File a claim with your insurance company. If your liability policy was in force at the time of the accident - they should take care of it.
