  1. It's a scam alright. Don't believe in those text messages, like the ones that predict earthquakes with minute detail, like where, when, intensity, et al.

  2. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!

  3. Sounds like a scam. I receive an email from English Lottery, saying I had won, great, but I hadn't entered anything. So BEWARE ,they will want your bank details and birth date etc - then they'll take everything.

  4. A similar thing happened to me when I received an email purportedly from GSM/Nokia informing me I won in their monthly regional sweepstakes promo in the amount of Euro350t.  Was I stunned...imagine winning such a huge amount!  Then they asked for more information about myself.  The next email they sent, I told them my lawyer advised me to verify any such winning from GSM and would get back to them as soon as I had the verification.  I have never heard from them again.  So, my advice - you either ignore them or play them along like fools.

  5. I used to get that stuff all the time when I was in PI.  Just ignore it, you didn't win anything. Its a scam.

  6. Scam.

If you want to entertain yourself a bit, ask them to transfer the 950K to you in terms of cellphone load.

  7. Nah...dont believe it! I just got a text message a few minutes ago from a Mr. Mark F. Yap saying that I won 300k PHP and a Toyota Hi-Lux. It went straight to my deleted items.

    =P

  8. do you believe in this kind of stupidity?

  9. Roland,

You are absolutely right, this is a scam.  The old saying goes "If it's too good to be true, then most likely there's a catch."  International scam is growing every minute, don't be a statistic.  If I were you, just ignore the text.

  10. Never believe text messages like that. If you've really won something, they'll either inform you by mail or phone call. Never a text message. And if they start asking you for load or they tell you to call them instead or asks for personal info, don't give in.

It's a hoax to get money from you or load.

  11. That aint true
