I recently adopted what I think is an adult cat, how am I able to ascertain how old she is?

I just got her Saturday, I plan on taking her to the vet sometime this week.

If you haven't taken her to the vet yet (which you should always do when getting a new pet) they will be able to tell you by looking at their teeth and overall body.
