Question:

I recently applied for a job in corrections at a county jail.

This is my second corrections job that I'm applying for. The first job I ended after two days of work because I also worked at a university police department, had an internship, and attended school. The lieutenant asked me why I quit after two days and I said that it just wasn't the best choice I made at that point in my life but I deeply regret quitting the job. I also assured him that the same outcome would not happen again. What do you think my odds of getting hired are at this point? (background check is good)

  1. Depends on a couple of factors: good references, the amount of other applicants, and simply if you sold them in the interview. The fact that you have a good backround will work in your favor. Chances are if they really need to fill the position they might over look the previous job.
