I recently bought a 04 RSX Type-S with the K20A2 engine that produces approx 200 hp?

What can i do to get more power out of it excluding force induction, for under USD4000?

I would really love to get an approx. of the hp. output for whatever you suggest, not a most, but i would love to know. Thanx

First, you don't have 200hp.

That's crank horsepower.

Actual horsepower to the ground, will be around 175. Depending on if your engine is in great shape, or not.

That should answer a few questions for you.

You have a budget of $4000.

$1000 of that, will get you an amazing 9 horsepower and 2.8 ft/lbs of torque. And that's peak. At most rpm, you will gain only about 3 or 4 horsepower. Not enough to change your performance in the slightest. An oil change and sparkplugs could net the same gain.

Not a bad way to waste money.

The next 3,000, will get you maybe another 15-20 horsepower, depending on how in depth you get. That's about it.

Even if you dump all that money into a turbo, it will net similar results. Lots of money spent, minimal amounts of gain, and large loss of reliability.

Take the 4 grand. Trade in your car, and put the 4 grand on top of it. Start off with a better car.
