  1. As its name implies, you pack one hit's worth into a one-hitter, smoke that and then reload.

    Advantages of the one hitter are

    1) economy - the small amount of material is easily consumed in the single hit and does not sit there smoking away between hits

    2) less visibility - the one hitter produces almost no smoke and is usually designed to be very discreet

    3) better flavor - after a bowl has been hit several times, you tend to taste the ash. With a one hitter, you get the first hit every time

    Disadvantages:

    1) You have to keep reloading and relighting

    2) not suitable for hash and sometimes not even fresh weed (although the Solopipe may be able to handle these OK)
