  1. A USB and HDMI are different connections and can not be used interchangably.  USB is a device used for PC, set top boxes and also is present on a TiVo and an internet input device when attached via an ethernet cable.

HDMI is a cable that will connect HD devices such as an HD TV, set top box and surround sound systems.  This cable is a combo audio and video cable.

The cables are similar in size and shape but the applications are different.

  2. why spend money on a playstation 3 when you can get it for free? just go to this site and complete a few quick tasks and they'll send you one - at no charge!

  3. I don't think the PS2 has an HDMI port, and unless your Tivo is HD, it may not have one either.

You will need to use component, composite , or s-video cables to connect those devices to your TV.

  4. The HDMI cable is generally used to connect other HD devices, such as a dish box to a HD television, or other HD device, such as a Blue Ray player. Look for USB ports on your TV. You probably just need to connect the USB cable from the tivo or playstation to one of the TV's USB ports.
