  1. I would paint over it with a hull-grey or a few coats of white.  make sure to use enamel-based paint.

  2. it takes alittle work, but it can come off with rubbing alcohol. Good luck, but better becareful on some lighter color plastics the ink can & will set in  the palstic

  3. there is a chemical that car dealerships use to take off marker and such if there is an accident. It doesnt cost much and is paint safe

  4. Try kerosene oil but be careful, if there are other colors they might come off too. Or you could cover up the marker by putting cool stickers on the space shuttle.

  5. Mr. Clean magic erasers have worked for me with permanent markers.

  6. use only an alcohol based solvent anything stronger may cause your model to melt, and that will cost your entire project. Been there done that. Sharpie works good for instrument panels but not much larger try masking tape and light coats of model spray paint next time works great. Just a hint. Spray flat paints. let dry a few days, then spray with clear gloss, as both gloss white and black run like h**l but the flats are controllable just fine.

  7. Try rubbing alcohol. I know that it is used to take marker off from acrylic/plastic. You might want to test it a bit before you use it on the actual project. Good luck!
