I recently emailed agency and still no response. Is that normal?

Yes and No. I am adopted and so is my little brother. It all depends on what race you are after. If you limited your choice to only one race (especially if white) then there is a long waiting list. Before they realized that we put that we would adopt any race we didn't hear back from the agency for awhile. It was a, "we'll call you when a baby comes up and your up on the waiting list." Adoption is a very long, emotional, and drawn out process. I know we went through a lot before getting my lil' brother and my family went through a lot before getting me.  Good luck! I hope you find your perfect match and don't get discouraged!

thats not normal or professional in my opinion if i were you id leave that agency alone and fine another one. that agency sounds like a scam?

You have to give a lot more info to expect a good answer honey.

Whichever agency does not respond it is NOT  normal  nor professional in my opinion. If you are desperate for an answer call and talk to the manager, don't wait  for their mercy.

Yes, sad to say but it seems to be the norm. I have worked with 3 agencies and they all operate that way. I can only assume it's because they are so overworked. Also many are not tech savvy. The best way to get through is to call 1-2 times a day, every single day. I find that works better than email.

Emailing isn't the way to contact an adoption agency if your really ineterested. I would call them, and just let them know that your emailed and that your following up on your email.

Adoption is a long process.
