The best thing to do is to keep a white towel soaked in oxiclean and press onto the stain on the carpet untill the stain is gone, This may take a few days. Refresh the towel soaking morning and night.

Oxi clean is safe for colors.

I clean my carpet stains with this method.

The safest is to heat white vinegar to a simmer.

Pour vinegar on carpet and press with white towel.

Repeat until paint softens and is lifted.

Hot white vinegar will remove paint and restore dried paint brushes as well!
