I recently got a bike with manitou axel elite 100 front shocks but i cant figure out what the left nob does?

i get how to adjust compression and lockout but what does the other nob do and do i have to turn theme in some sort of unity

Is that the travel adjuster (rapid wind down travel)....I'm not sure if the Elite had that feature or not.  Manitou normally puts their compression and platform adjustments on the right side top, with the rebound on the right side bottom.  The left is reserved for dual air models and travel adjustment, or preload k***s on coil models.
