I got a tattoo 4 days ago, and on the outlining, it's not the same ..texture? As the skin? Like, it's elevated almost just along the outlining. I'm just wondering if it'll change to the normal skin type texture?

  1. It probably will with time, because when you first get a tatoo, the skins swells in response to the damge getting the tatoo makes in the skin, over time the damage and swelling heals and the tatoo's finish takes its permanent form....i have a tatoo on my arm and when i first got it... for like two weeks the out line of the tatoo was raised and then it went down and it's a great tatoo, i have had it now for 9 years...

  2. Just after getting your tattoo your skin will feel different because it is scabbing over and trying to heal. Once it is completely healed you will be able to just barely feel where your tatto is but it will be the same texture as your skin. Some advice you have probably already heard...whatever you do DONT scratch it and when you wash it or put lotion on it dont use anything scented, this will irritate it and make it itch even more.

  3. It's healing up so will look and feel a bit weird til it is totally healed up.  This happened with the outline of my last tattoo and I just took it to be the skin scabbing up, now it is all fine, it took about 3 weeks to heal totally

  4. Perfectly normal for a 4 day old tatt. After abouit 2 weeks it should pretty much be healed, expect it to appear shiny as well when the scab first comes away, thats just the new skin.

  5. My red rosary beads down arm and

hand where raised bumps from the

red ink. Felt and looked like implants.

In my case this was moms ( RIP )

Rosary and spirit with me. Took a few

weeks to heal sorry to say. Everything

    will be ok with yours.

  6. Yes it will feel like completely normal skin once it heals.  Your skin is aggrivated right now.  Once your tattoo peels completely, your skin will grow back over it.  Just keep taking care of it until then (put lotion on it a few times a day to keep it from drying out).  Congratulations on your new tattoo.
