  1. you deserve to go to prison

  2. Be good in jail

  3. Depending on the county where you were charged,  the worst that could happen is that you will be placed on deferred adjudication, a type of supervision where if you successfully complete it, the case will be dismissed and there will not be a conviction or finding of guilt on your  record.  However, if you can pay the restitution up front, maybe the D.A. will lower the charge to a Class C misdemeanor where the maximum punishment is a $500 fine.   If you get a deferred adjudication on a class C, then it can be expunged.  A class A misdemeanor carries up to a $4000 fine and up to 1 year in jail.  Some counties offer a pretrial diversion where if you complete some community service and whatnot, the D.A. will dismiss your case.  Get a good attorney pronto.

  4. in TX? are you black? you'll probably be executed

  5. Get a good criminal attorney  to help you with this. First time offense no priors....they will likely offer you probation. An attorney could get you deferred.

  6. First conviction, community service/work crew

  7. Yo *** is goin to jail, say hello to bubba (and by the way, he'll make you drop the soap).
