I recently got my lip pierced & they put in a 16g I want a 14 g is that possible after it heals?

I really would prefer my lip to be a 14 g how big of a difference is it really between a 14gauge and a 16g? will it be possible for me to put in 14 gauges after my lips healed?

I got mine pierced with a 16g stud and then after awhile (it was completely healed) I put in a 14g ring. I found no problems with the size difference and still can switch back and forth. The first time I did it, my lip swelled a bit but not really. It should be fine.

Yea you can put in a 14g, even though the size different isn't all that much, it wont really be a walk in the park, you'll prolly have to play with it a bit before you can get it through. wait until its fully healed though. Your best bet might be waiting for it to be fully healed then playing with it a whole lot to try and stretch the hole out, I did this with my ear piercings and then the next size gauge would fit right in. IF you have trouble getting it through you can either go to a piercer for help or buy a curved taper and push it through with the 14g bar behind it. ...if you dont know wat a taper is, it starts out small and gets bigger, kinda looks like a claw...

It's a mm or two difference so it should slip through easily.
