I have all these programs that keep coming up when I start the computer up. It comes up with Antivirus XP 2008. How do I get rid of it. It isn't in add remove programs. And now the desktop is all white and when I go to change it it doesn't have all the tabs it used to have. And now the back round is all white. Will my computer ever be the same.

But also when I first got it the back round turned like some weird colors and started playing music. Can someone please explained what happened?

  1. It seems that your computer is badly affected by virus. If data recovery is not your prime concern, format your hard disk. Otherwise, you may free download bitdefender/kaspersky etc (i.e., any strong antivirus) to clean your machine.

  2. Problem :

If its not in the add/remove programs list this means its either in the wrong directory or digitally locked (which means its a purchased software that your computer uses often)I would recommend going to Start/Control Panel and visit the section about Administration/Parental Controls and chnage or check your settings to your needs and see if you can uninstall it from there ! If not I would try to visit Start/My Computer/C:/Program Files/Antivirus Xp 2008 and delete the running files from there ! (Note : Keep a saved version of the file named "Antivirus Xp 2008 on a disk just in case it does not remove the directory as planned) If you startup and your screen goes white it usually has a reason explaining and how to fix it located on the right side of the Windows Xp Desktop Wallpaper/Backround ! If you manage to get it uninstalled I would recommend getting Windows Defender at : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...

Note : Only one antivirus program can be installed on a computer at a time or they will malfunction and erase directories you may not want to be deleted and they will start messing up unwanted or wanted files ! I would use Windows Defender to scan your computer but in the meantime use the Kaspersky Online Scanner 7.0 at : http://www.kaspersky.com/kos/eng/partner... Please do not download the software of there's though !

  5. I recently had the same problem.  It can be solved if you restore your computer to it's original state with the computer restore disc.  Make sure you save all your documents onto a disc first, as you will lose everything.

You will have to reconnect your internet, and it will take some time, but it is effective.
