I recently hired a handy man to put ceramic tiles in bath room.he did not put Sealor on top of grout,some one?

I am confused..Who is right ?

I feel, The sealer will not let the grout get dirty.

Is it true?

Should we put the sealer?

please help.

  1. I would hurry to the hardware store and find some sealer.   I have been in your shoes, scrubbing the grout with a small brush and grout cleaner is no fun.  Sealing it would save you a lot of work later.


  2. I didn't no you put a sealer on grout.  It would be had to do if it has to be done.

  3. the grout takes up water.

    the water in the grout will discolor the grout

    the sealer prevents water getting into the grout.

    about every 2 to 3 years you have to reseal the grout.

    just do it

  4. Just go to a hardware store and get a sealer. It is cheap and easy to do.

    We had tile in bathrooms for many years before they invented sealers. But a good sealer will help keep the tile grout looking good and the grout will last longer

  5. no sealer,every few years call stanley steamer,they make it look brand new.i've never heard of anyone using a sealer onb grout
