  1. If you mean an analog to digital converter box then this means that some channels are not yet broadcasting in digital yet. They will be required to on February 2009.

First, you should check which stations you can expect to see.  Visit http://www.antennaweb.org and put in your ZIP code.  This will give you a list of stations in your area and where you need to aim your antenna.  If there are going to be any changes after February, they will be noted in the LIVE DATE column.

    If you are not receiving stations, the most likely cause is insufficient signal into the box.  You may need to get a better antenna and/ or make sure it is aimed properly.  Digital works differently than analog.  With analog, a poor signal would give you snow and ghosts.  With digital, it's a perfect picture until the signal gets so bad the receiver can't work with it, then the receiver gives up and it looks like you have nothing.  So, if the signal is weak, it will look like nothing is there.

    Make sure you use a VHF/UHF antenna.  Many digital stations are UHF, but not all of them!
