I recently joined a Group in error Unsubscribe doesn't work, Can someone help me get out of this group?

In error I joined a group. I wrote to the group owner and asked them for help on deleting me. The unsubscribe does not work. I really want out of this group. Maybe there is a way I can get kicked out, which is not really the route I wanted to take. I would hate to jeapordize my other yahoo groups that I enjoy being a part of.

where did you click the unsub from? generally when you go to that groups homepage, click edit membership atop of the title- scroll down, very bottom right Leave Group- works instantly. if you do it through mail, it is not instant and takes a while.

Here is how you can unsub from a group (I hope one of the following will help you unsub from the group you want to do so):

On the Web:

Sign in to Yahoo! Groups and go to your group on the web.

From any page on the group, click the Edit Membership link at the top of the page.

Click the Leave Group link at the bottom right of the page.

Confirm on the next page.

The group will no longer be listed on the My Groups page, and you’ll no longer receive messages.

To leave/unsubscribe via email:

From your email program, send a blank message to:

groupname-unsubscribe@yahoogro...

Make sure to replace "groupname" with the actual name of the group (e.g., pastry_chefs-unsubscribe@yahoo...

Alternatively, you may wish to remain a member but reduce or eliminate group email by changing your message delivery option to No Mail/Web only, Daily Digest, or Special Announcement. From the "Edit Membership" Page, you can also change your email frequency settings to one of these options.

Note: If you own a group, you must first give up your ownership in the Members section of your group before you can leave on the My Groups page.
