I recently lost my ball python in my house, i know where to look but what can i do to draw it out or trap it??

it is about 2.5 feet it happened twice before and i found it not too far from the cage

WHY do people who know nothing about the question OR subject bother replying?  "hope I'm not your....", seriously, go away!  How totally not helpful.

ANYWAY, every time I've had a snake get out, we wait until night, make sure all the lights are out, and I guarantee you, within a few hours when you go to check it will be somewhere in plain sight!

if it's missing in a large space or for more than a few days, you can put down a light powder and if the snake goes by you'll see the tracks!

if your really patient you can put noise traps like plastic bags along the bottom of you walls and at night listen for any movement. dont leave them too long without listening or watching because theres a chance that your snake can suffocate in them. you can also try cutting a 2 liter bottle and flipping the funnel shaped top inwards so your snake can go in but not out. then put a dead mouse in it. wait a few days for it to smell. some snakes like stinkier mice

This may sound gross but it works. Take a frozen mouse and stick a chopstick through it chest then lure your snake with the mouse. When its in range let it eat the mouse while you put it in his cage. Good Luck!

I am not TRYING to be funny. I mean this seriously.  Nobody wants to live near anyone so irresponsible that they will lose a python!
