I recently moved to Nassau Bahamas.. can someone share a Hurricane story;how is flooding, is power lost fast?

I am just curious how bad can it get here flooding wise. Also does power go out and water too?

  2. Spent two hurricanes in the Bahamas ( Nassau....Love Beach section.) Electric goes out immediately, no cable for days after, severe flooding, grocery shortages, lots of debre in the roads..

    Just be prepared to take care of your self and your property....

  3. if you live in nassau, you know the power goes out every time someone sneezes, and the water is toxic after a storm.

    Flooding occurs everywhere.. even with a slight rain.. so imagine what a hurricane will bring.   Nassau hasn's seen major destruction in the last few years.. but flooding, power, cable etc.. that's another story..

    Prepare yourself.
