  1. Get a large brink and tie it to a rope and drag it across the floor. It is a techique use to make the floor look old but in a good old way like a forest cabin

  2. i think that you have choice. First you may decide to clean it yourself or hire a professional to clean it for you.

To do it yourself you will need a steam cleaner. To know more about steam cleaner read this article :http://www.carpetcleaningadvisor.com/ste...

If you decide to hire a professional cleaner or a cleaning company we advice you to read this article first: http://www.carpetcleaningadvisor.com/car...

  3. First clean the floor with some murphy's oil soap. After it is dry apply some scratch cover(next to furniture polish in grocery store or walmart and so is the murphy's oil soap). This should make a huge difference and take the cost of the products off your rent...make copies of the receipt and include it with your rent payment. At least you're not charging for labor.

  4. Minwax or old english

  5. You have a few choices...1. refuse to pay anymore rent until the problem is resolved 2. Take her to landlord tenant court...3.Ask her if you can find someone to fix the problems and deduct your costs from the rent...get a verbal consent recorded or have her sign something saying she gave consent. 4. stay until you use up your deposit  and hopefully you don't have a lease...move out.  these are a few options you have.

  6. I was watching a home selling show and they said that cabinets clean up well with car wax. So you might consider that for restoring your hardwood floors. There's also this stuff that my parents used to use on our hardwood floors when I was a kid and it was called "Orange glow" or possibly just "Orange Glo" and I think it is made by the same makers of "oxy clean". But the orange glow might have just been a cleaner and not a restorer. Go to "www.buyfixit.com" and buy "fix it for around the house" if all else fails. It even comes with a sweet power buffer! I plan on buying it soon.

And about the roaches, I HAVE THEM TOO! I had one land on my face and I had read earlier that week that they sit on your face to absorb the moisture! yuck! All you need to do is find out where they're coming from and block it. proper weather stripping on the doors leading outside and drain covers. I also spray lemon scented raid around door entry ways and in the drains and in the over flow hole of the sinks. I also keep them away by never leaving any water out and keeping the house immaculately clean -no crumbs what so ever. Just one crumb and they have a snack for the day to keep them alive and laying eggs.

You can also trap the roaches outside by tilting a glass jar against the side of the building which is called a "Vegas Roach Trap" and you put water inside it and a small cup of coffee grounds in the middle. They are attracted to water and decomposing organic materials like crumbs, dust, hair, etc. I vacuum a lot too so there is no extra roach food lying around.

  7. Firstly you should move to another apartment. Secondly you need to sand and varnish the floor.

  8. If the wood is scratched then you have to sand it down past the scratches and restain it all.

  9. if you mop the floors with pine sol it works well and leaves a desirable shine. did i mention it smells good too?

  10. Try Orange-Glow Wood floor cleaner and scratch remover. Follow the directions on the bottle. Great results. Easy.
