I recently ordered half chaps for my riding...

Question

Should I wear them on my first lesson? I don't want to look stupid..Or like I know everything, you know? xD

Yeah..this is the kind of thing I get nervous about. xD

Half chaps are great. They give you a bit of grip and protect your lower legs from pinching; I love mine. Don't worry about looking stupid or anything like that because I doubt anyone will care. Just make sure you show up with proper footwear and a helmet too :)

If you are learning to ride english and don't have tall boots, half chaps are a must have so you don't get pinched by the stirrup leathers.  Enjoy your lesson!

i always wear mine every time i go riding!

they don't look stupid

i didn't want to wear mine because i thought people would think i look like im trying to show off or act good

but there good as!

i would make sure that your half chaps are broken in and very comfortable ontop of your breeches, then you will be good, if you are english and you dont have tall boots then they will look nice on you, i know i have been a hunter jumper for a long time and even though i mainly school the horses for other people, i found that half chaps are much more comfortable than tall boots, i ride in the normal height boots! the half chaps are just more grip for you and look pretty, thats pretty much all i think that they do.

ok.....u shouldnt feel stupied pr like u know everything because if u are going to ride english you want to wear them so you legs dont get pinched
