I recently passed the Reading and Writing PPST exam. I have not passed the math exam yet and I am interested?

in going back to school in the Fall. I have my BA degree in an area other then education. Do you think I would be able to take some ele. ed courses even though I have not completed the math portion of the Praxis exam?

  1. Yes, you have until the end of your second semester to complete and pass them. You may not have to even do the tests if you take the education exams after first semester.


  2. Yes, but there may only be certain classes you can take. We separate our classes into Admin I, II, III, etc. You cannot go on to the next set of Admin classes if you have not completed the ones before. So you can take all of the Elem Ed classes in Admin I and II, but not III until you have passed all parts of the PPST. Check with your college or university to see how they separate the classes and which ones you are allowed to take without having completed the PPSTs.
