I exchanged the first one for the same problem. As soon as I put the batteries in the second camera and took the first pic it froze. Also on the first camera I would get a read/write error on about 5 photos. I am trying to be optimistic, but should I just cut my losses and return the camera or exchange it for a third?

  1. If you have already had the same problem with two cameras, why on earth would you want to get a third one!  LOL   Take it back, and try a different brand.  I would recommend a Canon Powershot.   Use rechargeables, and make sure they are fully charged before you put them in your camera.   Good luck!

  2. First off are you using rechargable batteries and are they fully charged? If not you need to fully charge the battery(s). Another thing is...is the memory card Formatted? Once in awhile on my fuji s2 pro i get errors on the pictures. one good hint is take 2 pics of the same thing each time if possible. if you did not format the memory card through the new camera that could be another problem there. If you load the pics onto the computer the best thing to do is use a card reader. alot of computers have them or you can buy one for about $20 easily.
