I recently purchased a used xbox 360 from a friend. I suspect that it may be stolen, I have a few questions?

I recently purchased a used xbox 360 from a friend. I am not sure but think it may be hot. 1.How can I find out if it is stolen. 2. If I check on it how can I be sure not to get into trouble for having stolen property? 3.Is there something I can do clear the machine even if it is not hot so that I will not get into trouble if I log on to xbox live? I hate to accuse them of being a thief but I do not want to get into trouble through the xbox live.

Well, if they are a reliable friend, they would tell you. Or just ask them what store they purchased it from and watch thier reaction. And if you really want to be safe, give it back!

1. Check the product number, i think its on the menu or something

3. You wont, i got my 360 free because my dad was a member from amazon for awhile. If its stolen i doubrt they hunt for you. Microsoft is too rich.

dont check it out because it will get u  in trouble. definitely through xbox live. they will ban that xbox forever if its on their stolen list. sorry
