I recently purchased the cordless

Question

i recently purchased the cordless mx 3200 laser desktop (ie keyboard and mouse). I have been able to get the mouse working, but not the keyboard. I keep trying the connect buttons but there seems to be no on/off button on the keyboard to tell me whether the keyboard has connected. there is only the red little connect button am i supposed to push both buttons at the same time? i keep thinking i am connecting the keyboard but then i end up with no keyboard and no mouse
