The winning bidder sent the payment through paypal, I sent the item the following day but on behalf of my mistake I didn’t put insurance. It was a small package. The buyer contacted me and told me he didn’t receive anything. Is there a possibility that the package was lost or he wants to scam me?

  1. He is trying to scam you. I sold hundreds of stuff on ebay and I never had that problem. I never sent anything either with insurance or confirmation blah blah. All he is going to do is give you a bad mark, and all you can do is dispute with ebay itself. Don't worry about it. It's all good.

  2. As long as you sent the package, you did your part.  You are not responsible for what happened to it after that.

  3. He could be trying to scam you, but it can get lost.

Did you purchase any tracking methods? You always should.

Ask him to wait a week or so to see if he gets it. If you want to maintain positive feedback, refund him if he still says he never got it. And in the future make sure you can track all your shipments.

  4. scam

  5. My sister buys TONS of stuff on eBay... she gets USPS tubs of stuff at least once a week. About a month ago she got a bunch of stuff, she opened all the packages first and then started pulling thing out the stuff inside and found something she didn't order. The address on the package was correct she just didn't notice. I finally took the package to the post office this week telling them it was a mis delivery... it has been sitting on her kitchen counter for about 2 months... So maybe you sent it right and the post office lost it.
