I recieve a letter in the mail on July 1 stated that I will receive my stimulus by 07/05/08 but when I check?

online and the hotline it stated my check will be mail on 07/04/08 which should I go by?

  1. I did recieve the same letter saying to expect it by 7/5 and haven't gotten my check yet either...I keep checking the mail and nothing.

  2. talked to the irs on 07/3/08 they said the checks would be sent out on 07/05/2008 prob on monday or tuesday depends on were you live

  4. There are two different computer systems involved - one was programmed to recognize July 4th as a holiday and automatically added a day.  The other program just grabbed it's normal Friday date, and was not programed to recognize it as the July 4th holiday.

    If you have not already received it, you should receive the check between July 7 and July 11th.  The biggest determining factor on when you get the check will be the mailing time between the check distribution center and your house.  Some people get their checks the day before the date.  Others get them ten days later.  Some people get their letters before the check.  Others get the check before the letter.

  5. I got the same letter, and I am still waiting. Today is the 5th so I am hoping since Lowes screwed up my husbands paycheck last week and he has to wait till the next pay day for them to fix it. Mine stated you can expect your payment by 7/5/08. It should state it will be mailed on 7/5 if it wasn't going to be mailed until then.

  7. i dont know, we got the same check... but it depends on how long the mail will take, also i dont knwo if they counted the holiday in there yesterday or not......

  8. Most folks have received their rebate check within 3 to 7 days of the scheduled mail date.  Having received the letter does not guarantee that you will get a check.
