I recieved a letter saying I won in the international promotions sweepstake?

It said to call they told me to deposit the check and when it cleared call them back and they would give me the rest of the money it has to be delivered in person it is from Huntington Financial Inc in BC and the check is from KOSMOS Energy in texas could you tell me how to check to see if it is real

It's a scam.  Absolutely do not respond.  Once they have your check, they have access to your banking/routing numbers and to your bank account.

Yes, there is no such thing as free money.  What they want you to do is put the money in your account.  Write them a check for some other amount.  Their check is fake and will not be paid.  Your check is real and they will deposit your check and get your money.
