  1. just live with it and be glad you didnt go to jail for speeding

  2. call and find out most cops when running your name through might give you a break when seeing that you do not have any priors so maybe he didnt s***w you. I have had seven speeding tickets and none of them ever showed up on my insurance thanks to cops giving me a break. btw I dont speed anymore. cost too much money.

  3. To be honest, he did you a favor.  If he didn't change the VC, you wouldn't be able to do traffic school, which means your Insurance would go UP right away and you would have to pay a higher fee for the ticket.

Recommendation, don't waste time, pay the ticket and do traffic school.  I would recommend doing traffic school ONLINE with TicketRelief.com.  They were quick, easy, and affordable.

  4. He did do you a favor.  In CA, if you are caught speeding in excess of 100 mph, you get 2 DMV points and may, at some time, be determined to be a negligent driver....(That's really bad and may result in a lifetime CDL revocation of driving privileges.)  CA Vehicle Code 22348b.

Your ticket is simply speeding in a 70 mph zone, amounting to 1 DMV point and generally traffic school is OK.  CVC  22356b
