  1. Yes you can get a s.s card it will be the same number for life but the card will read for employment only at the top and you will have it until you receive your green card then you go back and they will give you a new s.s. card with the same number but the words at the top will be off.


  2. yes, go and apply for your SSN card as soon as possible as it can take from 3 weeks to 2 months for them to issue you one.

    I don't think they issue you with a temporary ssn, but you're allowed to work and show the employer that you have the EAC and still waiting for your SSN. You have certain amount of time to work without having the SSN if you can show that you're waiting for one.

  3. Yes, you may (and should) now apply for a social security number.

    However it will not be temporary. SSNs are for life unless there is a very good reason to give you a new one.
