I recorded a VCR-film with my Panasonic DVD-recorder, but it will only play in the recorder/player.?

Question

My purpose is to download it in to my computer for editing.

* It plays only in the recorder/player. (Panasonic)

* It is recorded on a DVD -R, as instructed by the DVR.

* Other players can't play.

* PC's say the DVD is empty. (Although signs that the DVD has been burned are visible on the DVD)

* Solutions is preferred not to cost money.

Hi Lars,

It sounds like you didn't finalize your DVD. Before a recorded DVD can be played on any player except the one it was recorded on it must be finalized.

Check your Panasonic manual for instructions on finalizing the DVD.
