I recorded a hockey game off my new DVD recorder, and my computer doesnt recognize the disc at all, why?

I've tried other computers, and they don't recognize it either. I made sure it properly recorded, because the DVD recorder I used has no problem playing it on my tv. The disc is brand new and unscratched, so that's not it either. It's a DVD+R disc. Anyone know what the problem is?

Your computer cannot read the disk directly, try puttting the dvd in the computers cd drive
