I do have flash drives and I do have DVDs and a DVD burner, I also heard that I could put it on my digital camera to move it to my pc. I am not sure if any of this is true.

  1. Hackers have fixed some models to be accessible by computer.  But you need practice with that.  Otherwise you can buy combo units, or separate television DVD recorder

or you can buy a tuner card for the PC and hook it up by cable, and just play the movie for the PC to record

  2. Hi mo.dibble,

I copy programs from my DVR with DVD Xpress.

With DVD Xpress you can transfer your video to your hard drive and then edit it if you desire. DVD Xpress comes with basic video editing software. I got mine at Sam's for $59.95.

I saw a newer model at WalMart recently. It was the DVD Xpress2. I think it was $39.95 but I am not positive. You can check one out here http://www.usb-ware.com/ads-dvd-xpress-d...

You connect the composite output of your DVR into the DVD Xpress and connect the DVD Xpress to your computer via a USB cable.
