I redid the floors in my kitchen and now there are lots of ants, why?

I just had ceramic tiles put in my kitchen (there was laminate before) and now that they are done, there are tons of ants walking around. I am just wondering why they are all over? We never had this problem before.

There is no correlation between the two events. This has been a rainy year. Spray diazinon around your windows and doors, outside. Sprinkle boric acid around the inside where they congregate.
